Knife Making Video

Home

I would like to make it clear that I in no way intend this video or any other part of my website to be seen as anything to do with weaponry. These are tutorials about making a carving tool. What people do with this information is beyond my control.

My new Knife Making DVD is now available for download! I have re-authored

New DVD!

the DVD and added menu’s, chapters and screen selection in order to make it easier to view and particularly to refer too. When I released the DVD around a year and a half ago I didn’t know how to create a DVD with menus and chapters, so I released it as a plain DVD, it just played when you put it in the player and you had one long (34 minute) track to wade through. Now, you can choose from wide screen or 4:3 (which is actually letterbox) and you have screen selection for each of the steps. This I hope will make it much easier to refer too when in the middle of making a knife. The download is as before available via BitTorrent and this time I am using my own tracker. I have enabled DHT as my tracker runs on my own server and although uptime has been good, I can never be sure if it will go down and if it does how long it will take to get it back on line again. A good (cyber) friend has offered to help seed the torrent, thanks Ashley (and friend Steve), please take a look around his web site, I think you will get a lot from it if you are into bushcraft!

I want to thank all the people that have and still are seeding my DVD torrent. I can only guess that there are still a few that choose to keep seeding beyond the 1:1 point and to those I wish to send an extra special thanks! But of course anyone that has helped seed is greatly appreciated. Thanks! :-)
In my opinion the process of heat treating 01 ground flat stock, or in this case heat treating an old file especially the annealing (softening), is much easier than people think! If I can manage it in the woods with minimal tools, I think a lot of people out there could easily accomplish it too! So why not watch my video and maybe you’ll feel like having a go! Download an image file of the DVD using BitTorrent. To learn about ‘bittorrent’ click here. Click the button bellow to download the torrent (meta) file. Please be aware that this file is not the video! It’s a file to track the location of the video file on seeders computers around the world, a (meta file).

Also, the image (.iso) file that this leads to is not playable until it has been burned to a DVD R.

Ashley has written a great review of my DVD that includes a tutorial on this process and also includes a download to a great free application for burning too! Click here to travel through cyber space to Ashley’s site!

I feel Linux and Mac users will know what there’re doing, so I wont bore them !

I offer this video for free, but if you wish to make a donation, I would happily accept!

Stream my video from YouTube!

The video is just under 35 minutes long and here I have divided it up into 4 because of YouTubes file size restrictions. I hope this will help anyone trying to make a knife. Comments and suggestions welcome!
